Terms of Service for I Fed the Pet

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using I Fed the Pet ("the App"), developed by Djeasoft, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The App is licensed, not sold. Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable app store terms (Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or Google Play Terms of Service).

3. Description of Service

I Fed the Pet is a pet feeding tracking application that allows users to:

• Create and manage households with multiple members
• Track pet feeding activity with simple one-tap confirmation
• View who fed which pet and when
• Create custom feed reminders with specific times (Pro users)
• View 30 days of feeding history (Pro users)
• Use individual pet checkboxes for multi-pet households (Pro users)
• Invite family members via email to join households

5. User Accounts and Households

When using the App, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate email addresses for household invitations
• Maintaining the security of your account information
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Respecting other household members' privacy and safety
• Not sharing inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content
• Managing household membership appropriately (main household members only)
• Ensuring children under 13 use the app only with parental consent and supervision

6. Household Management

Main household members have the ability to:

• Create your household
• Invite and remove household members
• Manage pets within the household
• Create and manage feed reminders (Pro)
• View all feeding activity for the household

Regular household members can:

• Track pet feeding activity
• View feeding history (if Pro)
• Leave the household at any time

7. Feed Reminders

Pro users can create custom feed reminders with specific times. Reminders are delivered as push notifications (requires notification permission). You are responsible for:

• Ensuring notification permissions are enabled on your device
• Setting appropriate reminder times for your pets' needs
• Understanding that reminders depend on device settings and network connectivity and may not always deliver

8. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs your use of the App. Key privacy features include:

• Household data is only visible to members of that household
• Children under 13 should only use the app with parental consent and supervision
• Parents and guardians have full control over their household and can manage or delete any data associated with their children's use of the app by contacting us at support@ifedthepet.app
• We collect minimal information (email for account creation, feeding timestamps, device push token)
• Compliance with COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA regulations

9. Children's Use

I Fed the Pet is designed for family use, and we recognise that children under 13 may use the app to help track pet feeding. Parents and guardians must:

• Provide consent for children under 13 to use the app
• Supervise children's use of the app
• Be the main household member who creates and manages the household
• Understand that they have full control over their child's data and can request deletion at any time by contacting us at support@ifedthepet.app

10. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Djeasoft and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Disclaimers

I Fed the Pet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. The App is designed for pet feeding tracking and household coordination, not as a substitute for veterinary advice or professional pet care services.

12. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Djeasoft or I Fed the Pet be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App. We are not responsible for any harm to pets resulting from missed feedings or reliance on the App.

13. Account Termination and Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Account deletion will permanently remove all your data including:

• Your user profile and account information
• All households you are the main member of (and all associated data)
• All feeding records and history
• All feed reminders
• All household invitations

If you have an active Pro subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play Store before deleting your account, as we cannot process refunds directly. For assistance with account deletion, contact us at support@ifedthepet.app.

We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App, email, or other communication methods. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles.

By using I Fed the Pet, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
